The seventh minute penalty by ZIZOU did go in anddid credit him with a goal but didn't manage to send the azzuris back home that early!!!
Italians soon equalised by MATERAZZI's spectacular header!! Being Zidane's last game he was playing at his best showing all his skills but couldn't manage to get the golden ball past the goalkeeper into the net, as a matter of fact none of the sides could!!!!The game reached extra time after high intense drama!!!But......who knew that we were going to witness some more drama!!!!Zidane headbutted Materazzi in his frustration....luckily the referee didn't notice it but this is exactly the reason why we have assistant referees!!! Zidane's outrageous header on the Italian's chest was surely an invitation for a red card and what do you know he got it!!!Not quite a dream end for his career!!!! after 30 minutes of offence and defence the game reached the penalties!!! Not having a very good record in penalties everyone was sure for FRANCE but......the AZZURIS can surprise people!!!They got all five of them in....on the other hand France got only 3!!! hahaha!!! THE WC CHAMPIONS....THE BEST TEAM OF THE YEAR......THE UNDERDOGS....ITS....ITS....ITS......INDIA....hehehe just joking.....ITS ITALIA!!!
